WORSHIP LEADER: "Nothing Can Keep Me From Your Love"

On August 15th and 22nd, I enjoyed substituting as the Worship Leader at Bethel Baptist Church in Ellicott City, MD.
The church is currently studying the book of Romans during services. When I read Romans, two overarching themes jump out at me:
Justification through faith in the saving work of Christ
Responding to God's love by living a life that honors Him

The music I selected for the two Sundays connected to these two themes. We sang contemporary songs, such as: "At the Cross (Love Ran Red)," "Who You Say I Am," and "You Are My King (Amazing Love)." And, we sang some favorite hymns, such as: "Blessed Assurance" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness."
I also shared one of my own original compositions entitled "Nothing Can Keep Me From Your Love." I wrote this song in 2011. The lyrics were inspired by several key passages in Romans as well as by some other writings of Paul and a few Psalms. Here is an excerpt of that song:
